Our world is full of trouble: anxieties, worries, wars, devastation, starvation, man's inhumanity to man. We see all this individually, nationally and globally. We read the headlines in our daily papers - these things are reality - and we ask, Why Lord
God is absolute Love.

God is in control.

Yet he allowed things to happen.

He could have stopped it.

Why Lord?

We search for reasons but God is God.

We are human, we cannot understand. Once things were perfect, and they will be again. Adam was created into a perfect world, but he disobeyed the Lord God his creator, and sin came into this world. We are under the judgment of God; we live in a lost and fallen world.

But there is Hope. God is absolute love, he had a perfect way to reconcile mankind to himself again. He gave his only son The Lord Jesus, the sinless one, to take our sins and to die on a cross for us.

God did not promise us an easy life.

When we cry and say "look we are hurting, we are in pain, and we are grieving."

Jesus says "I know what you are suffering, I felt the sword and the thorns, and I was scourged. I wept and grieved, I was part of this wicked world."

Are we frightened, anxious, distressed. Does God understand?

He does; our heavenly father watched his beloved son die on a cross.

Jesus at Gethsemane was overwhelmed with sorrow, he felt forsaken by his father.

Do we have relationship problems, do we hurt deeply are we misunderstood?

Jesus understands he has been there himself. He was betrayed by those he loved.

A sinless man took our sins upon himself, and took the punishment for those sins. He died for us on a cross. There is nothing we suffer that he hasn't suffered himself, he knows how we feel.

Our hope is in the Risen Saviour, who is with his Father in Heaven, interceding on our behalf. We cannot understand, but we have to trust and believe in the Lord Jesus. Our present sufferings cannot be compared to the glory of heaven. God has promised us a new heaven and a new earth. There will be no more death, mourning, tears, or pain, for those that love the Lord.
