Dear Friends,

It seems that through the purchase of just one small item I have gained some 'street cred'- in the youth department of my family. But not much! One dictionary defination of 'street credibility' includes the following statement:- a convincing knowledge of popular fashions. Not so sure about that!

I think what convinced me that I needed this marvellous modern invention, was the thought of being stuck somewhere with a car that liked the locality so much it did not want to move! but I quite liked the old black ones myself. The ones that lived in those lovely red boxes, still to be seen in gardens, that used to work quite happily in response to the big old style pennies. Then came the new type in the sixties. I remember my first call home from one of them - so much faster - it could empty your pockets in seconds - it consumed coins like a child eating smarties!

Then much later, came those adverts on the telly. The ones with people walking along the street talking to nobody, seemingly into thin air - I just did not get it! But the mobile phone had arrived - and I have just joined the talking millions. Little gadgets providing multible means of communication - infuriating in certain circumstances undoubtedly, but a truly remarkable means of communication.

Christianity is a religion of communication!

  • God speaks to us in Jesus - makes himself known to us.
  • Church is about sharing what we know of the love of God.
  • Christians have a calling to tell the world the good news about Christ
  • The good news is - that Jesus died on the cross for sinners and on the third day he arose from the dead and is alive - the conqueror of sin, death and the grave!

Why not join us on Good Friday or Easter Sunday morning or evening.

We wish you the true joy of Easter
