Welcome to our Chapel

Welcome

The people who meet for worship and fellowship in Caerwent Chapel come from a number of quite different backgrounds. At the moment we have families from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland - as well as the towns and valleys of Wales itself. But our vision is much broader than that. Through various missionary organisations, and through some of our own members, we have regular contact with Christians involved in the work of God throughout the world. We strongly believe that in the gospel of Christ we have a good news message for everyone, everywhere.

Within the congregation we have Christian men and women, who work in farming, education, business, industry, health care and full time Christian work.

We have one man who spent much of his life - underground - as an electrician in the Welsh coal pits. Because of the nature of his work he was sometimes down there - deep under the earth - on his own and could hear things groaning and creaking all around him. He tells me that he used to sing - very loudly!

Another member is a shepherd who travels thousands of miles each year, taking care of his own and other people's sheep

There is a couple whose son has a professional interest in earthquakes and volcanoes.

We are also blessed with some very able and hardworking ladies who  play a vital part in the day to day life of our church.

We offer you a very warm welcome and assure you that in this small village chapel your presence will always be noticed and your interest appreciated. Please feel free to use one of the contact numbers if you need any further help or information.
