It is Beneficial- Important- Valuable

Why does it matter so much- in what ways?

1.   It is a Blessing from God

It is a creation ordinance - back to the beginning long before the church as we know it - or Christianity.

It is part of the very foundation of human society, intended for our help, blessing, and benefit.

2.   It is a Responsibility to be Respected.

Marriage is no small step for any man or woman.

It is a big step - a large undertaking - a major matter.

It should be helped supported and encouraged.

Society needs to respect marriage and support it.

3.   It is a Commitment to be Remembered

That is why a public ceremony is so important.

It is a big day and it should be remembered as such.

Remember to celebrate your anniversaries.

Any reminder of your vows is good and helpful.

You need communication - keep talking

You need the church - the support of Godly people.

Most of all - you need the Lord Jesus Christ.

·       You need his saving grace

·       You need his sovereign goodness

·       You need his special guidance

It is the threefold cord that is not easily broken.
